ABBEY National Asset Managers, which may go on the auction block in 2004, would fetch a price of between £200 million and £300m, City sources have said. One leading fund management analyst said: "Abbey National Asset Managers has about £30 billion of funds under management, and as a rule of thumb you would normally be looking at a take-out price equivalent to about 1 per cent of funds under management.
