American Electric Power aims to sell the two power stations it owns in the UK by the end of 2004, virtually ending a wave of U.S. investment in the British electricity industry that started in the late 1990s, industry sources said. 'The plan is to divest by the end of 2004 or earlier than that if possible,' said the source, who declined to be named.
