Heywood Williams is to acquire Carlisle Brass Group, the architectural hardware distributor with sites in Carlisle, Blackburn and Preston, for £48m. Established in 1986 by current Group Managing Director Robin Graham, the group employs 130 staff and its brands include Carlisle Brass, Eurospec, Eurolite, Sterling Hardware, Finger Tip Design, de’Leau and Ludlow Foundries. As part of the deal, Robin Williams will own a 7.51 per cent stake in Heywood Williams and he will remain with Carlisle Brass as full-time Chairman.
Heywood Williams' existing hardware division operates in several European markets under the Mila, Window Ware and Door Panels brands.
