Credit Suisse First Boston, the investment bank, has put Cabot Financial, a consumer credit and collection firm, up for sale for £100m. However, many observers believe CSFB will struggle to achieve its target price. Possible bidders include Cattles and Provident Financial, listed consumer credit companies.
