Leadbitter has acquired Denne Construction of Kent for £17m, in order to strengthen its position in the affordable housing sector. The acquisiton gives Leadbitter, which operates in the South West with its head office in Oxford, a presence accross the whole of the south of the UK. The new company will have a combined turnover of £250m, over half of which will be from social housing. The Denne management team will all continue with the business. Bob Rendell, CEO of Leadbitter, commented: “Today’s announcement is a significant development for Leadbitter, moving the business onto the ‘top table’ within the construction sector."
