Handbag.com, the network of women's websites, has been acquired by Hearst Corporation's NatMag for about £22m. US-based Hearst Corporation is believed to be planning a major expansion of handbag in America. Handbag publishes three other websites alongside its core site handbag.com: getlippycom, aimed at 18-24 year olds, gomamatoday.com, for pregnant women and new mothers, and allaboutyou.com, for women over 35. “We are delighted to bring Handbag into our community of brands and are very excited about the prospects for this business. The portfolio of sites will join our growing network which includes; netdoctor.co.uk; cosmopolitan.co.uk; and goodhousekeeping.co.uk.
