New owners were today set to check in at Ramada International operator Jarvis Hotels after independent directors backed a £159 million management buyout. More than 50% of shareholders have already accepted the cash offer of 145p per share from bid vehicle Kayterm, moving the UK chain a step closer to private ownership after seven years as a listed company on the London Stock Exchange.
