PPL therapeutics, the company that cloned Dolly the sheep, confirmed that it had appointed KPMG to assist with the sale of the business. The company's future has been in doubt since it abandoned its main lung drug program with Bayer. Net assets were £12m and the company had £9.3m in cash. A trade buyer is the prefered route but no approaches have been made.
