Proctor & Gamble is understood to be sounding out possible buyers for its snacks business, which makes Pringles crisps. Also up for grabs would be Folgers coffee, which like Pringles, is very big brand in the US. A sale would enable the company to finance a bid for Beiersdorf, which owns Nivea.
