Wincanton is to acquire RDL Holdings, the provider of supply chain services to the building industry with 350 staff at 38 sites, for £22m. The deal consists of a debt-free initail consideration of £22m which will be followed by a further payment of up to £5m subject to the achievement of financial targets by 31 December 2007. The company has also acquired Bristol based home delivery company Lane for up to £2m, which includes the assumption of around £6m of debt.
