The luxury hotel group Hanover International has asked its financial adviser NM Rothschild to put the chain up for sale. Hanover runs 12 hotels and three conference and training centres. It has suffered recently in the downturn. Three months ago the group posted a 61% drop in pre-tax profits to £1.9m down from £4.9m in 2001.
