Private equity group GI Partners is reportedly planning to put its Bar Room Bar chain of drinking establishments back on the market, just five months after acquiring the business.

GI paid £571m for a portfolio of 290 pubs and bars from Punch Taverns in June, which included the Bar Room Bar operations. 

Now the group is thought to be asking £20m for the chain.

Bar Room Bar was established in 1998 as a single outlet serving cocktails, beers, wine, spirits and stone-baked pizzas in Hampstead, North London. It now operates 26 bars throughout the UK.
