First round bids for Barcays Leasing, the vehicle and equipment leasing unit operated by Barclays business banking, are expected in this week. General Electric, Siemens, CIT Group, Fortis and Societe Generale are all tipped to make initial offers in the £1.3bn auction. Barclays Leasing has operations in both Germany and the UK.
