DIC Entertainment has acquired CPG, the London-based licensing agency operating in the entertainment and sports industries, for an initial £3.8m. A further amount will be paid subject to CPG's performance until 2008, and the final value of the deal could reach £8.43m in the form of cash, notes and DIC stock. CPLG represents many of the major studios in some or all of Europe, including Sony, Marvel, Fox, Nickelodeo/ Viacom and Dreamworks Animation. CPLG has experienced significant growth accross Europe, with 60% of business and 75% of its turnover now coming from outside the UK.
