CPL Entertainment Group, the Scottish nightclub operator, has put two of its nightclubs up for sale in order to concentrate on expanding other venues in its portfolio.

The two clubs for sale are The Tunnel and Cube, both located in Glasgow. The Tunnel, which is freehold and has a capacity of 1113, has an asking price of £2.25m while the Cube, which is leasehold and holds 592 clubbers, is on the market at £395k.

Managing director of CPL, Donald McLeod, said the decision to sell was influenced by his desire to refocus the group on rock music clubs, and revealed he may launch new rock venues in Scotland or the North of England following the sale. The Tunnel and Cube both play house music and R&B. 

Chartered Surveyors Creevy LLH will handle the sale, and have stated that they expect “considerable interest” in the two nightclubs.
