Cramer Systems, the supplier of operations support systems software with offices in Bath and London, is to be acquired by Amdocs of the US for a cash consideration of £205m. Cramer produces network resource management software for fixed-line and mobile telecommunications companies. Several of its customers are already Amdocs clients. Amdocs, whose expertise traditionally lies in billing and customer relationship management, is to use Cramer as the key to its operational suppport services (OSS) business. "Amdocs expects to be well positioned to capitalize on the growth opportunity that OSS represents,'' said Amdocs CEO Dov Baharav.
