Accident Exchange Group has acquired DCML, the provider of software solutions to the automotive industry, for up to £12m, and has also announced the development of a new headquarters and distribution centre in Coleshill. Accident Exchange will pay an initial £8m in cash and shares for the Cheshire company, which develops software used to manage courtesy car fleets and their insurance. An extra £4m will be paid by Accident Exchange dependent on DCML meeting financial targets. DCML has contracted to occupy a new build industrial warehouse distribution centre in Coleshill, West Midlands. The DCML acquisition was the first deal advised by Charles Cattaneo since he left KPMG in October to set up his own firm.
