Diageo and Pernod Ricard are still awaiting final regulatory approval for their Seagram acquisition but have set in train the sale of a number of businesses they will take on. These include Oddbins, the high street wine merchants, which has attracted interest from french wine merchants and J Sainsbury. Diageo has also announced its intention to sell Croft the port brand.
