Scott Wilson Group is to acquire Ferguson McIlveen, the property and infrastructure consultancy with 250 staff in Belfast, Glasgow, Chester, Guildford, Leeds, Middlesbrough and Swansea, for £10m. An initial £3m in cash and £1.85m in shares will be paid, followed by a deferred consideration of £5.25m, to be paid in cash and shares. “I am delighted that we have acquired Ferguson McIlveen LLP, which will significantly strengthen our presence in North and South Ireland and will enable us to take full advantage of the growing markets there, particularly in the environment and property sectors." said Geoff French, chairman of the Scott Wilson Group. Recent projects undertaken by Ferguson McIlveen include the redevelopment of Belfast Cancer Centre and the upgrade of Northern Ireland's North Coast Wastewater Scheme.
