Ferrovial, the Spanish construction giant currently involved in negotiations to purchase UK airport operator BAA, may have to sell a number of its local airports to do finance the purchase. Sources have identified Belfast Airport as a likely candidate for disposal. It has also been reported that Leeds Bradford Airport, owned by Leeds and Bradford local councils, could also soon be up for sale.
