Fila, the international Italian sportswear brand, has been put up for sale by its Italian shareholders for more than £100m. Potential bidders are understood to include sporting giants, Nike, Adidas and Reebok. In 2000 Fila holdings losses mounted to $132m on sales of $2bn. It has a market value of $106m. Holding di Partecipazioni, Filas major shareholder is the driving force behind the sale.
