Financial Dynamics, the London-based communications consultancy is to be sold by its owner, private equity firm Advent International. The UK arm of Robert Baird, the investment firm which has a history of deals in the financial PR sector, will advise on the sale. Interest is believed to have been shown by both financial PR companies and private equity firms looking to do a secondary buy-out. Sources estimate that the sale could fetch as much as £100m. The FD management team acquired a 40% stake in the business for just £3m in 2003, when then owner Cordiant Communications sold FD to Advent.
