FKI, the UK-listed engineering company, has appointed Rothschild to carry out a strategic review of the business which could lead to a sale of some of its divisions. Divisions tipped for a sale include its Logistex materials handling unit and its hardware group, after chief executive Paul Heiden predicted declining performances for both when plans for the review were first announced last November. FKI aims to complete the review by the mid-2007, and has said that it would hope to complete any sale process by this time.
