Medal Entertainment & Media has sold the Fountain Television Studios in Wembley to InvestinMedia for £1.5m in cash. At 31st March 2006, Fountain's net assets stood at £1.7m. Fountain are the UK's largest fully-equipped televison studios, and have hosted a number of well-known shows including the X Factor, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and Test The Nation. In a statement, InvestinMedia said: "The directors know the business well and consider that in the near futureFountain can be restored to profitability. Over the longer term the directors believe Fountain will prove a successful investment." The acquisition was financed by secured bank borrowing.
