Wynnstay Group has acquired Glasson Group, the Lancaster-based distributor of animal feed materials, for £2.5m. The deal consists of £2m to be paid in cash, with the remaining £0.5 to be paid in secured loan notes dated 4th August 2008. In a statement, Wynnstay commented that the acquisition of Glasson would complement the activities of its Arable and Feeds divisions and would widen its's geographic reach, adding a new customer base through t he North of England and Southern Scotland.
