Good Hair Day, the haircare business, has appointed PWC Corporate Finance to explore options including a sale or investment partnership. The company, owned by Jemella Group, was founded in 2000 and now sells haircare products across international markets which include the US, Italy and Australia. Wella and L'Oreal are likely candidates for the purchase, which it estimated at a possible £60m. Jemella reported operating profits of £12.2m on £37.1m turnover for 2003, and the results are thought to have greatly improved in the past two years. Jemella's directors and main shareholders are reportedly seeking to expand geographically.
