ISA, the privately-held UK office supplies company, has been put up for sale after owner Brett Palos hired US investment bank Rothschild to seek buyers for the business. 

Palos, who is the stepson of Arcadia group tycoon Sir Philip Green, bought ISA out of administration in 2003. It is currently one of the UK's leading office suppliers, and counts Tesco, the MoD and Citibank among its customers.

Rothschild are reportedly seeking offers of around £80m for the company, which reported sales of £231m and pre-tax profits of £5.9m for the year to September 2005. 

ISA's senior management are also thought to hold shares in the company.
