GUS, the UK-listed retail and business group, is rumoured tobe selling its credit checking unit, Experian. The bidder is rumoured to be a private equity group. Experian was also under bid speculation last month after it was reported that Hellman & Friedman and Kohlberg Kravis were planning a £6bn bid. GUS's market capitalization stands at £9.3bn.
