Harkness Hall, the Stevenage-based manufacturer of PVC screens, has undergone a £6.7m management buy-out from Allen McGuire & Partners. The management team received financial backing from the Irish equity firm Street Capital. Harkness Hall manufactures and supplies screens for cinema, film production, special effects, 3D, events, AV, home theatre and open-air cinema. It has a worldwide market share of 50% with factories in the UK, USA and France as well as a representative office in China. Livingstone Guarantee, the London-based corporate finance boutique, handled the sale on behalf of Allen McGuire. It is the second time McGuire have sold the business in the last seven years.
