Harry Ramsden business for sale
08/10/2007
Harry Ramsden's, the iconic fish and chip restaurant chain, could soon be up for sale according to reports.
Owner Select Services Partner is said to have hired KPMG to look into strategic options for the business, as it does not fit with the group's other branded food outlets which are run from railway stations and airports.
A sale of the 32-strong chain is one of the possible options to be considered, with an estimated £25m asking price.
The chain, established by Harry Ramsden in Leeds in 1928, has a £25m annual turnover.
