Heinz, the US-based food company, has had over 40 approaches for its European frozen food subsidiary. The company set an initial deadline of December last year for bids,and Heinz anticipates making an announcement within a few months. Heinz's European seafood arm is also up for sale, and the company is hoping to secure USD 1bn from the disposals.
