Holiday Inns, the hotel group, has confirmed that the Six Continents pubs arm is to be put up for sale, potentially fetching £2.5bn. Buyers will be attracted by the division's brands which include All Bar One, Harvester, Scream and O'Neill's. It has been suggested that Six Continents' remaining hotels business could attract bidders too.
