Hollinger International - Division Sale
27/07/2004
Conrad Black has been attempting to sabotage the sale of the Daily Telegraph and has labelled as "fascists" those trying to investigate his business dealings, according to court documents filed in the US. Hollinger International, the Telegraph's parent company that has agreed a £665m sale of the paper to the Barclay brothers, claimed Lord Black was still trying to "jeopardise the Telegraph sale and scuttle the strategic process". It also alleged he had broken the terms of a court injunction by coming up with a plan to take Hollinger International private by inviting in outside investors.
