InterContinental Hotels Group is to put up for sale a £600m property portfolio. Landmark hotels are to be included in the sale, such as the Carlton in Cannes, the Amstel in Amsterdam, and the InterContinentals in Vienna and Rome. Chief Executive Andrew Cosslett said, "We will be looking to sell them as soon as we can and are evaluating options at the moment." After the properties are sold off, IHG will be left with an asset portfolio worth about £1bn. It is keen to retain its hotels in cities such as London, New York, Paris, and Hong Kong.
