Indian Queens, a 140MW gas oil-fired power station in the UK, could soon be sold by its American owner AES, according to two industry sources. The sources said that International Power, the UK independent power provider, is likely to close shortly on the transaction, although it is also understood that Carron Energy, owner of the 393MW Fifoots Point power plant in Newport, Wales, is also interested in the facility. It is thought that the plant will fetch between £20 and £50m.
