InTechnology announces talks to sell distribution business
24/11/2006
InTechnology, the AIM-listed IT infrastructure group, has announced that it is in talks over the disposal of its distribution division.
The distribution business specialises in hardware sales to data storage resellers and key clients include HP, IBM, NetApp, Symantec, Check Point and Nokia. It has slightly struggled of late, reporting a decline in revenues of 4% to £189.6m for the year ended 31 March 2006.
Analysts have tipped US groups Ingram Micro and Tech Data as potential bidders for the division, as well as South African firm Datatec, although none of these companies have as yet confirmed an interest.
If sold, the division could fetch up to £30m.
