Intel restructuring could lead to sale
09/05/2006
Intel is to undergo a restructuring of its memory operations which experts believe could lead to a sale. Its product NOR Flash has been consistently losing market share and has now been separated from Intel's main manfacturing group, Technology Manufacturing Group (TMG). Intel expects sales to fall 3 per cent in 2006, and its stock price fell more than 20 per cent in the first quarter. Intel's memory business is running at an operating loss.
