Ennstone has acquired Jackson Precast, the East Midlands-based precast concrete manufacturer with 34 staff, for £6m. Jackson will now operate within Ennstone's building products division, Ennstone Building Products Limited. The deal also includes a payment of £0.42 million to discharge Jackson's self administered pensionscheme. Vaughan McLeod, chairman of Ennstone, commented: "Jacksons is a heavy end Precast business, which fits into our strategy to provide routes to market for our aggregates, particularly our dust. It produces products for our target growth markets in our key East Midlandsregion."
