Kingfisher, the retail giant, is attempting to raise £600m from a sale-and-leaseback of its high street Woolworths stores. The disposal is part of the break-up of the £6bn company. Credit Suisse First Boston has been appointed to find a buyer for the portfolio of 180 Woolworths properties. Superdrug, the health and beauty chain, is also up for sale for £300m.
