Kingfisher has hired Goldman Saches to sell BUT, its French electrical goods and furniture chain. This follows Kingfisher's decision to break up its electrical businesses from B&Q, its DIY chain. The company must now decide whether to demerge, float or sell its Comet and Darty electrical retailing businesses. In addition Kingfisher is also looking to sell its German Promarkt electricals chain.
