KPMG - Division Sale
31/12/2003
KPMG has begun the process of selling the Londis convenience store chain in the UK, by contacting interested parties to set out arrangements for receiving confidential information and making indicative bids, The Financial Times reported. These include the Cork-based retailer Musgrave, and well as the Big Food Group , which owns Iceland and Booker cash-and-carry; Nisa-Today's, which supplies the Costcutter chain. An earlier recommended UK£40m offer from Musgrave was put on ice, after Londis franchisees objected to its terms.
