Clothing and furnishings company Laura Ashley Holdings Plc could be up for sale within weeks, according to a company insider. The partially-listed company is still majority-owned by entrepreneur Khoo Kay Peng and Malayan United Industries BHD, who have been in discussions about the future of the chain. At least one retail entrepreneur has been reported to have made an approach to buy the company in recent weeks.
