It is rumoured that Lloyds TSB may be selling its National Bank of New Zealand subsidiary for as much as £2.4bn to Australia's ANZ bank. The speculation has been fuelled by reports that ANZ is looking to sell its finance arm, Esanda, to fund offshore expansion.
