Loftus Road, the Aim-listed company that owns Queens Park Rangers football club and Wasps rugby union club, has been put into administration. The group said this was the best option to ensure its long term survival. The Queens Park Rangers Football and Athletics Club, a wholly owned subsidiary, is being put into administration, but Wasps is not because of a possible offer. Administrators are in talks to sell both QPR and Loftus Road. Chrysalis group had planned to make a £2.5m bid for Wasps but now face competition from Worcester rugby club.
