17/11/2006
The chief executive of Lornamead, the privately-owned personal care business whose brands include Yardley, Harmony and Vosene, has revealed that the company is looking to make a “transformational acquisition” which will give shareholders strategic options such as a trade sale, an IPO or refinancing within the next three to five years. Annual turnover is around £600m, and according to chief executive Mike Jatania, the company can afford to spend up to £500m on acquisitions. Shareholders in the company are mainly members of Jatania's family.
