The chairman of the Local Radio Company, Graham Parrot, has stated that the UK-based local radio operator will dispose of non-core stations. The company, which operates in the North East, South East and South of England regions, has not specified which stations it considers to be non-core, although analysts suggest those in the South of England, such as Win FM, Fire 107.6 and The Quay are prime candidates, as the North East is currently LRC's strongest performing region. Absolute Radio, an international group which has recently made acquisitions, and UK media business CN Group are both tipped as potential buyers.
