It has been reported that Luminar, the UK nightclubs operator, has indicated that it is to dispose of more than 50 branded dance sites. The company has not yet decided whether it also might put its Jumpin Jaks or Chicago Rock Café brands up for sale. The move follows an almost four per cent slip in sales at the end of 2004. Analysts have also dropped their predicted sales figures for this year and next. Chief executive Steve Thomas said 'the entire nightclub sector is facing a difficult financial picture and that investment would have to wait until the disposals are complete.'
