Atkins, the engineering consultancy and professional services group, has acquired programme management consultancy Mantix Group,for a cash consideration of £8.7m. Atkins' existing management consultancy business already has a top 20 position in the UK, and the acquisition of Mantix will boost Atkins' position in the Government and Financial Services sector. Mantix Group has 60 staff in Ipswich and London and advises its clients on the management of major investment programmes in technology and business change.
