Mappin & Webb, the upmarket high street jewellers that includes Watches of Switzerland, is putting its pawnbroking division, TM Sutton, up for sale. The decision comes six years after European Acquisition Capital, the venture capital group, acquired a 75 per cent stake in the jewellers following a £35m management buy-out.
