Marconi, the troubled telecommunications equipment maker, has drawn up plans for a disposal of non-core businesses that could raise more than £500m. The group's advisers are attempting to gauge interest among potential trade and financial buyers for a number of businesses within its white goods, retail automation and data systems divisions.
